Volunteers

Programs such as Sailability could not exist without the dedicated support of volunteers. It is a very rewarding activity and a wonderful opportunity to share your time and skills with some very enthusiastic and adventurous people.

You don’t have to be a sailor to be a volunteer. There are various on-shore duties plus we can teach you to sail if you want.

Volunteers activities are many, varied and include:

  • Setting up ready for sailing, together with launching and retrieving boats
  • Sailing with our participants (Sailors)
  • Teaching people with various abilities to sail
  • Skippering our support boat
  • Radio and power boat operation
  • Welcoming and registering participants
  • Helping with life jackets
  • Pontoon team securing dinghies and assisting to embark/disembark
  • And our very appreciated Catering Crew

If you would like to join our fantastic team of volunteers, we invite you to come down and see us in action.
