Freedom on the water
Sailability Port Macquarie is a volunteer organisation whose mission is to offer people with varying abilities freedom on the water.
Sailability commenced operations in Port Macquarie in 2012 with two borrowed sailing vessels and a handful of volunteers. We currently operate Hansa 303 Access sailing boats and three Rigid-hulled Inflatable Support Boats, with a volunteer workforce of 60 people.
Each Wednesday during the summer season, September to May (with a short break for Christmas), Sailability Port Macquarie provides our services at no charge to over 100 people of varying abilities, drawn from various Disability Support Units, local Public and Private schools, Community Disability Service providers, Aged Care Providers and various private individuals.
Sailability Port Macquarie is a part of Sailability NSW Inc.

Volunteers
Programs such as Sailability could not exist without the dedicated support of volunteers. It is a very rewarding activity and a wonderful opportunity to share your time and skills with some very enthusiastic and adventurous people.
Support Us
Sailability Port Macquarie welcome donations and corporate sponsorships. We are currently raising funds for the substantial weekly running costs for our support vessels and the eventual replacement of vessels which have been in operation over our 10 years of service.
Our Sailors
To accord with our protocol we identify our clients as ‘Sailors’. There are a variety of Sailors who sail with Sailability Port Macquarie, ranging from those with profound ‘disabilities’, through the spectrum to those that are ‘older citizens’.
